Julie Wilson

Accounts Lead and Accounts Payable

Biography

Julie Wilson is a highly experienced Accounts Team Lead and is likewise highly qualified, holding an Advanced Diploma in Accounting. She has a strong proficiency in accounts payable and reconciliations – which is beyond the role of a typical Accounts Payable (AP) personnel. Her positive, can-do attitude allows her to meander between AP and Finance, filling gaps where needed to support the business.

Fundamental is mitigating risk for the business, which Julie plays a key role in. She is the first and last point of contact before someone is paid and is responsible for ensuring that all checks and balances have been done prior to the release of funds. She closely monitors businesses that we work with on CreditorWatch, ensuring that any negative swings are communicated with the wider team.

Julie has a passion for anything to do with food… eating it, cooking it, but most of all travelling far and wide for it! She’s particularly passionate about the Asian cuisine and makes a variety of sauces from scratch, and her pandan chiffon is to die for – it is a special day when she brings some into the office. She grew up in Altona, close to the beach and lived there for many years, but now she’s based in the city and loves being central to everything.

“The construction industry is a diverse environment; new projects are happening all the time – it’s an inspiring and interesting place to be. MAC&CO provides an amazing environment to work in, there’s great teamwork, comradery, and cultural diversity. Plus, I get to walk to work!”

“Working with MAC&CO has been a very great experience in terms of the professional side, and it’s also built a personal relationship between myself and the employees there.

Forming that friendship and relationship definitely goes a long way. I look forward to working on all the future projects with them!”

Jim Bian - Holder East

“What stood out to us during the tender process was the presentation of the submission… We were provided with different look and feels which showcased the unique characters of each suite, this allows us to show this to prospective tenants different options – e.g., casual or corporate – in the future.

We now see 114 William Street as one of our strongest assets in Melbourne.”

Franziska Beck - AFIAA

“I think what sets MAC&CO apart is their problem-solving skills. It was really amazing, because they always anticipated challenges before they became an issue, and I really appreciated that.

It was very smooth, I’m very excited to see the end result, and I’m really looking forward to working with MAC&CO again in the future!”

Hanyong Li - T-A Square

The MAC&CO site team were great, they kept the site really tidy and functional allowing the client to come on site whenever needed. They were also very respectful and considerate working in a live building with tenants, ensuring minimal to no disruption to current tenants, and showed consideration to building management and house rules. And if any noisy works did need to happen there was a clear line of communication for this.

Lillian Millar - Armitage Jones
