Our traditional step-by-step process
Stage 1 – Initial Enquiry for a Fixed Lump Sum Project
During this initial enquiry/conversation, we seek to understand the project, in addition to the client’s vision, objectives, budget, the engaged consultant team, and any other requirements. This will be followed with initial discussions to determine the suitability, scope, and size of the project.
Stage 2 – Tender Process
Following the receipt of tender documentation, our expert estimating team will prepare the scope of works, bill of quantities, and the other deliverables. To achieve the best price, we will engage with pre-approved subcontractors from our extensive database. These quotations will be clarified and vetted by our estimating team.
A detailed programme, methodology, and project premliminaries will be created bespoke, with significant input from the construction team, enhancing buildability throughout.
Stage 3 – Tender Submission
The tender submission will include all required client deliverables, our proposed delivery team, prior relevant MAC&CO experience, clarifications and qualifications, and value management initiatives. The lump sum tender will be submitted to the client’s deadline.
Stage 4 – Post Tender
Should the client and/or client representatives have any queries or clarifications regarding our tender submission, this is the time to have these conversations. Often we will also attend a post-tender interview, where our estimating team and delivery team will walk you through our tender submission and proposals for the project.
Stage 5 – Building & Fitout
In the Building & Fitout phase, we bring your design to life. Our estimating team will provide a comprehensive handover to our construction team, who will then work diligently to execute the project, ensuring that quality and timelines are upheld. Regular communication and site visits/meetings will keep you and your consultant team informed every step of the way.
Stage 6 – Close Out
In this final stage, we conduct thorough inspections and finalise all documentation. This ensures that every aspect of the project meets our high standards alongside your quality, budget, programme, and design expectations.
